The 48th GST Council Meeting held in December, 2022 under the chairmanship of the Union Finance Minister had many items on its agenda which among others also included some important clarification on some of the ongoing GST issues. Having said this, some of the most awaited agenda items (like GST implications on online gaming and casinos; setting up of an appellate tribunal etc.) could not be discussed in this meeting; one can only hope that clarity on some of these critical pending items is issued by the Government at the earliest.
