The Securities Exchange Board of India has, in its meeting held on September 30, 2022, approved certain changes to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Issue of Capital and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2018, including disclosure of additional information linked to basis for valuation, introduction of confidential pre-filing of draft offer document, monitoring of proceeds from preferential issue and QIPs and certain changes in alternative investment spaces like REITs and InvITs. These changes will affect disclosures, filing timelines and certain procedural aspects of capital market transactions.
