Upayan
advises clients on a range of matters across sectors, including
e-commerce, technology, manufacturing, financial services,
e-sports and gaming in relation to cybersecurity, data protection, security governance frameworks, and gaming regulations.
In
particular, Upayan has experience in advising on data protection
frameworks in India and providing nuanced strategies pertaining
to Information Technology and Data Privacy laws for diverse sectors.
His expertise encompasses around providing robust regulatory risk
assessments including review of business models in light of applicable
laws and upcoming legislations, compliance requirements,
structuring as well as review of internal client policies such as terms
and conditions and privacy policies.
In his spare time, Upayan enjoys playing football and trekking.
