Swathi is a Partner in CMS INDUSLAW’s Transaction practice group and sits out of both the Delhi and Gurugram offices.
She advises clients across a broad range of sectors, including manufacturing, e-commerce, information technology, services, fintech, renewable energy, and pharmaceuticals. Her practice focuses on domestic and cross-border mergers and acquisitions, strategic and financial investments, joint ventures, business restructurings, and compliance reviews, as well as a wide array of corporate and commercial matters. Swathi has particular expertise in Indian corporate and foreign investment laws.
She is experienced in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating key transactional documents, such as investment agreements, share purchase and subscription agreements, shareholders’ agreements, joint venture agreements, and business transfer agreements. She regularly advises on day-to-day corporate issues and has represented clients from multiple jurisdictions, including Japan, Singapore, France, South Korea, the United States, and the United Kingdom.
In addition to her core transactional practice, Swathi is increasingly engaged in matters relating to sustainability and the renewables sector, aligning with her deepening interest in environmentally conscious business strategies and the evolving regulatory landscape in this space.
Most recently, Swathi has been recognized as a recommended lawyer for Corporate and M&A by the Legal 500 Asia Pacific Rankings 2024.
