BRANCH OFFICES OF FOREIGN ENTITIES IN INDIA - AN OVERVIEW
Companies incorporated outside India and engaged in manufacturing or trading activities are allowed to set up Branch Offices in India after obtaining specific approval of the Reserve Bank of India.
Partnership or proprietary concerns set up abroad are not allowed to set up Branch Offices in India.
